REDDITION. L’Opposition ivoirienne a rendu les armes. Elle accepte, après cinq mois de bras de fer ponctué de désobéissance civile et boycott, de rentrer dans les rangs. Si “le dialogue est l’arme des forts”, accepter d’aller à des discussions en position de faiblesse, sans avoir rien obtenu de ses principales revendications, dont la libération de ses leaders, s’appelle une reddition.

Les négociations qui se sont ouvertes le lundi 21 décembre 2020 entre une Opposition essoufflée et un Pouvoir maître du jeu signifient deux choses. D’un, la légitimité d’Alassane Ouattara, un moment contestée, est, sans crier gare, reconnue. De deux, sauf cataclysme, le dialogue national, réclamé pour notamment une nouvelle Constitution, est sur les traces du Conseil national de transition (CNT): mort-né. 

Au finish, Alassane Ouattara, sans coup férir, est le grand vainqueur: son élection, qualifiée d'”illégitime” et “illégale”, est validée par une opposition pressée de participer aux législatives afin de ne pas laisser le RHDP en roue libre. Exactement comme Henri Konan Bédié en 1995 après le boycott actif du Front républicain de Laurent Gbagbo et Djény Kobinan Kouamé.
